Komarnicki Finishes 2nd Session of the
40th
Parliament with a Statistical Record
Estevan (December 18, 2009)— M.P. statistics compiled for the 2nd session of the 40th Parliament show Komarnicki had the most words spoken in the House of Commons by a Conservative. Komarnicki spoke 65,376 words in the House - the most of 145 Conservatives and 13th overall of 308 parliamentarians.
“It’s kind of a neat distinction,” said Komarnicki. “It was a busy session in both of my portfolios Human Resources and Skills Development and Labour. I realize it’s not so much the number of words spoken in the House but the content and quality of the words that count. That said most of my words spoken in the house had both,” quipped Komarnicki.
“Although in and of itself it doesn’t mean that much it was satisfying finishing the year on that statistical note,” concluded Komarnicki.
