Marriage
Mr. Ed Komarnicki (Souris—Moose Mountain, CPC): Mr.
Speaker, I also present a petition with respect to the subject
of marriage. I have a series of petitions from within my constituency,
covering the areas of North Portal, Estevan, Weyburn, Midale,
Creelman, Stoughton, Maryfield, Bellegarde, Redvers,Antler,
Fairlight, Wauchope, Oxbow, Lampman, and Storthoaks, which is
a great representation throughout the constituency. The petition
indicates that marriage is the best foundation for families
and the raising of children and the petitioners wish Parliament
to use all possible legislative and administrative measures
to preserve and protect the traditional definition of marriage
as between one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others.
